Concert Group
For Guitar Concert Group Classes performing from memory is not mandatory but is encouraged to proceed to the Instrumental Rose Bowl competition. However, to be eligible for Provincials, performance must be from memory. All competitors will receive an adjudication and a mark providing all other requirements are met.
ABUSE OF TIME LIMIT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Competitors abusing the time limit will be adjudicated only, with no mark. Selections must be performed as a set, one following the other without interruption. This applies to all Concert Group Classes.
Competitors must perform selection(s) as required by class regulations. Should a competitor perform something other than the selection (s) submitted at time of registration, without express permission from the Office, they will receive an adjudication but no mark. Additional selections will not be adjudicated.

Guitar Solo
Selection MUST come from either of the following syllabi: Royal Conservatory of Music Classical Guitar and Etudes series or Conservatory Canada. Titles, composer, and performance time should be specified at registration, else no later than January 31, 2025.

String - Canadian Composition
OWN CHOICE of a selection by a Canadian Composer.
Title and performance time should be specified at registration, else no later than January 31, 2025. Selection must be in classical style, not a folk or pop song unless specifically arranged for guitar solo. Must supply original music to adjudicator.
